What makes a good prompt

Written By gaia

Overview

Prompts are one way of telling Gaia what type of campaigns you want to create. A good prompt helps Gaia automatically generate strong targeting, perfect channel mixes, copy and creative. Use it when creating a new campaign or when you want Gaia to build a campaign brief from scratch rather than using the manual form.

Step-by-step

  1. Click Create Campaign With AI and select the Prompt option.

  2. In the text box, describe your campaign clearly. Include:

    • Campaign goal

    • Job roles and target locations.

    • Target number of applications (if applicable to the goal) and timeframe.

    • Key selling points such as benefits, awards, testimonials etc.

    • Competitors.

  3. Click Submit to progress to the review step.

  4. Review the auto-filled details (job titles, descriptions, locations, target applications, awards, competitors).

  5. Edit or complete any missing sections before submitting for approval.

Good Prompt Example

“We’re launching a hiring campaign for Software Engineers (Full Stack and Cloud Infrastructure) in Manchester, UK. Target 100 applications in 4 weeks. Include our ‘Top Tech Workplace 2024’ award, an employee quote about teamwork, and look at our competitors Revolut and Wise.”

Weak Prompt Example

“Hiring software engineers in the UK.”

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • If Gaia flags missing details such as Competitors, Awards, or Target Applications, add them before submission or set a sensible default.

  • Keep prompts specific for clearer targeting.

  • If the output feels generic, refine the prompt with tone, benefits, and proof points (awards/testimonials).

  • If you don’t have a hard target, state a range (e.g., “30–40 applications in 4 weeks”) to guide pacing and optimisation.
